Processes of smelting the cast iron have been investigating with the use of various models. Results of the investigations have shown that water models do not make it possible to describe the processes totally. Many factors are not taken into account. Problems in smelting the cast iron arisen in such case. In connection with this, new model has been developed. Stearin is used for modeling the slag behavior in blast furnace. Regularities in blast furnace heat have been determined with the use of the new model. More efficient process in blast furnace has been provided. Quality of cast iron has been improved.
