The author concentrates on grouting and the uses of cement in the new dam, and also describes some problems that have arisen in the auxiliary structures. The object of grouting the rock foundation of a dam was to fill open joints in the rock with a durable impervious material which will inhibit the flow of water. The drilling operation and water testing prior to grouting was investigated.
