摘要
The finite element method was used for calculating a combined composite flywheel consisting of a rim with circumferential winding and a shell with strips placed symmetrically relative to the meridian. The rim and the shell were three-dimensional solids of revolution. The state of stress of the flywheel was determined at the instant of the beginning of braking. The material of the rim was a unidirectional composite. Relations for the elasticity, stress-strain state, and full potential energy of the flywheel were derived and applied to a flywheel made of organic reinforced plastic. The program for computing the stress-strain state was written in FORTRAN. Three kinds of attachment of the shell to the periphery of the pole opening were dealt with: mobile pin support, immobile pin support, and constraint.
