摘要：
Heating and cooling can be stored as the specific heat (sensible heat) of solids and liquids. In addition, heat of fusion of suitable materials can be employed to increase the heating/cooling capacity of heat storage tanks or bins. Thermophysical and other pertinent properties of such materials are compared on the basis of economics, applicability, corrosion, toxicity and availability for large scale installations. Results are described in applications using coolness storage materials and solar heat storage units.
