摘要
Results of case studies of the identification problem of a minimal order model for a short term load forecasting are reported. Two different approaches, one based on stochastic time series techniques and the other, based on stochastic state variable modelling techniques, are employed. The numerical results, involving load data of two states of Northern India: Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, are presented to show that stochastic state variables are better suited for forecasting.
