The experimental data from the present study are plotted and compared to the work of Kennedy and Newton. The melting points correspond to isobaric decreases in resistance in the range DELTA rho equals minus 2%. The solidification point corresponds to an increase in resistance of about the same magnitude. Upon melting, the temperature coefficient of resistance maintained the same sign but decreased in magnitude. In this study there were no indications of stages of melting, and the resistance changes upon melting occurred in the order of seconds. The temperature coefficient of resistance was reversible upon cooling. Refs.
