摘要
The literature, e.g., the DKG's raw-material specifications, various suppliers' summary communications, and any number of technical publications, is replete with descriptions of raw materials for potential use in ceramic bodies. This report details a pair of eventual starting materials for use in whiteware bodies. First, Westerwald clays are characterized as essential components, followed by a raw ceramic chamotte as a possible nonplastic ingredient. Finally, the composition and production of whiteware preblends is dealt with briefly.
