摘要
The importance of air flow, collector concentration, suspension density and flotation machine impeller speed in the flotation of spherical particles has been investigated by means of a model flotation experiment that possesses all the essential features of a full-scale process. Glass spheres of various size ranges were floated at a constant pH value and at constant ionic strength. The flotation kinetics were investigated for various equilibrium contact-angle values. No correlation was found between equilibrium contact angle and flotation recovery, which suggests that the equilibrium contact angle is probably an unimportant factor in the flotation process.
