摘要
The ferromagnetic resonance (FMR) absorption line broadening in single-crystal samples of bulk nickel and silicon iron has been investigated in the presence of plastic deformation produced by microindentation. It is shown that the fundamental cause of the FMR linewidth in silicon iron is the formation of a local internal static magnetic field arising from the depressions which are produced by the microindentation. The FMR linewidth in nickel is primarily associated with the formation of a dislocation halo around the depression. A quantitative estimate of the broadening of the FMR line by dislocations and an estimate of the contribution of porosity in the FMR linewidth have been derived for metal disk samples.
