This article takes an in-depth look at seismic map generation using center-line fault technology in highly faulted terrain. Part 1 (which appeared in the December 1993 issue of TLE) demonstrated that, compared with contouring seismic data using opaque fault polygons (fault zones), contouring with center-line faults is faster, less expensive, more reliable, and produces meaningful geologic results with far less contour editing. As a result, computer-generated contouring should no longer alienate management (and geoscientists). © 1994 Society of Exploration Geophysicists.
