We investigate the influence of applied steel on the bainite transformation in steel 40KhN3M. Residual deformation due to ordering of shears during lattice rearrangement is accumulated under load, and disappears during repeat heating at 1-10 deg/min, that is, under conditions where structure inheritance is realized the shape memory effect is observed.
