摘要
Linux is a kind of operation system similar to UNIX, which is fully free of charge, source code opened, powerful in function, stable and qualified for real-time system operation. It owns extensive support for software and hardware. Power dispatching automation system based on Linux is not only a low cost, good performance and a wide hardware selectivity, but also brilliant portability and can be almost fit for UNIX operating system. The free software represented by Linux has wide application in power dispatching automation system. The advantage, characteristics of the free software used power dispatching automation system is introduced.
