Using laptop computers as a BMET field service tool

This paper discusses the applications of laptop computers by Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMET). It has improved the ability to track events occurring in the field, and any problems identified in procedures being communicated through private comments. The concept of test-to-standards now is far more practical because testing protocols are a keypress away. Additionally, there has been a 25% reduction in data-handling associated with the processing of the PM inspections.
