A number of papers ave been published recently on corrosive damage to the steel tubes of high-pressure heaters from the heating steam side in the region of the desuper-heating section, discovered after a certain period of operation of power generating units with neutral/ oxidant (N/O) water treatment. To develop effective means of preventing corrosive damage to the steel surfaces of regenerative feedheaters from the heating steam side cells for investigation of the physicoehemical processes which govern behavior of the gaseous and solid impurities of the medium in the steam space. Experiments for this purpose were conducted on a 300 MW generating unit at Kirishi Central Power Station.
