ODSS-oriented concept model of the information processing structure of organization

In order to build the information support infrastructure of ODSS, a Hierarchical Nested Information Processing Structure Model of Organization is proposed which describes the information processes in a kind of great scale organizations. This model organizes the sets of organization units into a semi-order space from the view of authority hierarchies. The communication relationships between organization units are divided into `formal information channels', `information sharing communities', `informal communication' and other types, and their characteristics are studied in different levels of organization units space. The driven mechanism of the organizational information flow and the control structure of information sharing are also analyzed. A design strategy aimed at supporting these organizational information relationships is given and illustrated by a realized project.
