摘要
The concept of hydromechanical analysis of a hydrostatic bearing has been described. Equations for finding the main hydraulic parameters for such bearings have been developed. It is possible to estimate how reduction of the frictional coefficient between two metallic parts can help in improving the performance of a machine. This paper discusses the design concept of thrust-type hydrostatic bearings normally used for sensitive brakes in laboratories where research and development work on hydraulic turbines, pumps, etc. , is undertaken. A brief discussion of the paper is appended.
