摘要
Studied are the wear intensity of Hexanit-R cutting tools and physical regularities of working process on turning hardened structural steel 65G having martensite structure containing insignificant amounts of low bainite. It is established that both front and rear surfaces of cutters are subjected to wear. A dimple is formed at the front surface, at the rear one a chamfer is formed. At sub-optimal and optimal rates of cutting wear is abrasion-adhesion that transform to adhesion-fatigue at higher rates. It is shown that wear intensity of cutters is significantly dependent on the amount of sticked metal. Chip shrinkage and width of its contact with front surface are sharply reduced with higher rate of cutting.
