Effect of copper, nickel, manganese, zinc, ferrous, aluminium, potassium, sodium and magnesium sulphate on corrosion of 1100 aluminium in hydrochloric acid have been investigated by galvanostatic and weight loss techniques. The concentrations of the metals added as their sulphate in 1 percent hydrochloric acid were 10, 50 and 100 ppm. In this study, it has been round that all the metal sulphates decrease the corrosion of aluminium at all these concentrations while copper decreases only at 10 ppm concentration.
