DYNAMIC FILTRATION - THE ENGINEERING CONCEPT OF THE ESCHER WYSS PRESSURE FILTER.

Compared with conventional static filtration, dynamic filtration offers advantages for the solid/liquid separation of intrinsically viscous plastic and thixotropic suspensions. Dynamic filtration with the Escher Wyss pressure filter is based on intensive shearing of the suspension and a cellular helical flow in the annular gap between two filter cylinders arranged coaxially. Filtration is continuous, without formation of solid layers on the filter media. The preferred application area is where continuous concentration of the suspension to a pasty consistency is required, accompanied by homogeneous washing with high efficiency.
