This article emphasizes the long-term benefits for accounting and capital budgeting to promote `full-cost pricing' of products and processes with emphasis on environmental costs/benefits. Special attention is given to those costs and benefits that affect a firm's bottom line. This article also presents specific goals that stimulate the development of financial analysis/capital budgeting tools and practices.
