Stress states in quenched SiC/Al particulate composites examined by neutron diffraction

摘要
Lattice strain measurement was carried out using neutron diffraction and it was observed that the Al matrix of quenched 10 and 20%SiCp/Al composites are hydrostatically expanded. Experimentally determined strain values are in good agreement with those calculated by the mean-field model without taking into account any relaxation.
