摘要：
The magnetic part of the coefficient of linear expansion of Fe-Ni alloys is calculated in accordance with molecular field theory. The Invar effect is due to mixed exchange interaction in alloys and the close dependence of the exchange integral J//F//e//F//e on interatomic distances. The latter results in a large spontaneous magnetostriction, which also compensates the normal heat expansion.
