摘要
An examination is made of the problems of carbon saturation of surface layers of low-carbon steels under the effect of continuous radiation of a CO2 laser. It is shown that continuous radiation makes it possible to saturate the surface layers of steels with carbon to a depth of several millimeters. The carbon concentration and microhardness of case-hardened layers differ in relation to the variation of the process parameters.
