摘要：
The Universities in the former Soviet republic are the focus of a crackdown on religious expression. Young women cannot wear head scarves and young men must shave their beards if they want to get a college degree in Uzbekistan. The government of Uzbekistan is doing its best to suppress all unsanctioned religious expression among students and professors, using the slim excuse of past terrorist attacks by Islamic fundamentalists.
