A parametric-approximation method is proposed for hydraulic-circuit calculations; it is based on the fundamental concepts of a method for continuation of a solution of equations with respect to a parameter and on an approximation approach. The basic premises for utilization of the proposed method are given and a procedure is shown for calculating the coefficients of approximating polynomials of arbitrary order. A theorem on the sufficient conditions for convergence of the given method is formulated and proved and the computational effort required is compared for application to steady-state regimes of several hydraulic circuits of the parametric-approximation method and the conventional circuit-design method.
