This paper presents the results of the dynamic experiments of two models carried out on shaking table, one of which is a structure with three discontinuous shear walls supported on frames and the other has two discontinuous shear walls and a full shear wall in between. The dimensions of the twelve-story models with two spans and two bays were in one twentieth scale of the original structure. The analysis of earthquake response was performed. It was shown that the experimental and analytical results in elastic and elastoplastic stages were in good agreement. The seismic behavior of structure with discontinuous shear walls supported on frames was discussed and some recommendations for design of such structures presented in this paper.
