摘要
The effective management of tailings dams and mine wastes includes proper monitoring and inspection of the mining techniques. Waste throughout the mining process falls into three main groups - ore and mine rock characterization, tailings characterization and mill operation characteristics. Dam water levels can be monitored by suspending hydrostatic sensors at intervals over the dam wall. The simple level control of tailings dam offer the benefit of early warning against sudden rising levels due to rain, flood or ice melt.
