摘要：

Paper discusses the transversal vibration of the system of two beams connected by means of an elastic element. The top beam's ends are supported on rigid supports. The lower beam is suspended by means of an elastic element on the first one. This system represents a certain simplified model of a gantry or a bridge. There are considered the free vibrations of the beams and forced vibrations caused by harmonic forces which move with a constant velocity on the lower beam.
