Two months of performance results for a focusing roof aperture, water wall and direct gain combination passive solar heating system are compared to predicted performance. Actual add-on construction costs of the solar components are reported in detail. The paper discusses lessons learned from the early performance assessment, and also suggests the potential benefit of passive thermal storage for off-peak electric use in dwellings.
