摘要
Evaluation of interior gas piping technology in multi-family buildings has clearly demonstrated that more cost-effective gas distribution systems exist. These innovative piping systems should help keep natural gas viable in the growing multi-family housing market. Gas Research Institute (GRI) as part of its technology transfer program, is making much of this information available to the gas and building industries through its technical reports. Tubing systems allow flexibility in the distribution of gas within a home. This may give rise to a new family of gas appliances, permanent as well as portable, and ensure the availability of gas anywhere within the structure. The multi-family test program has helped GRI identify the key technical, economic and institutional issues associated with the introduction of new interior gas piping technology.
