摘要
An electron microscopic study was made of the fine structure of Al-30 wt. % Zn after low- and high-temperature ageing. The metastable rhombohedral alpha prime //R and cubic alpha prime phases that are precipitated are the result of a single process of isostructural decomposition and differ from one another as regards coherence with the matrix. The existence of two orientation relations of the beta phase with the matrix was discovered. The sequence of phase formation is discussed.
