Combustion of Azeya and Cheremovo coals in TP-81, TP-85 and PK-24 boilers is accompanied by slagging of heating surfaces. These coals to not occur very extensively but knowledge of slagging behavior when they are burnt is of interest to a wide circle of power engineers since it can be useful when burning coals of other fields which have an acidic ash composition. Results are presented of an investigation conducted on PK-24 boilers, and burning a blend of Azeya brown coal (about 77%) and screenings of Cheremovo class D coal, with changes in the ratio of the two.
