摘要
The two parts of this paper deal, respectively, with experimental methods, kinetics of growth, and the morphology of the Cu//2O nuclei and with the effects of pressure and temperature on growth kinetics. A mechanism of the development of Cu//2O nuclei during the first stages of oxidation at elevated temperature and reduced oxygen pressure is proposed, based on G. E. Rhead's theory of growth of cylindrical particles by surface diffusion.
