摘要
The creation of a new generation of fiber Bragg gratings has also required development of novel laser sources. The ideal laser for phase mask FBG writing methods exhibits high UV output power, excellent energy stability, high spatial coherence, and high beam-pointing stability. Laser systems optimized for FBG fabrication help characterize all aspects of the processes and extend the capabilities of various production techniques.
