摘要
Hygienic evaluation involving 4 metallurgic plants indicated a significant improvement in the working conditions of metal-makers owing to the introduction of autogenous smelting of copper and nickel ores and concentrates. Concentrations of dust and hazardous substances in the work zone air decreased and the industrial microclimate became normal. At the same time workers' jobs remained hard because of insufficient mechanization of the tapping process, thus the rate of systoles and minute respiratory volume increased. A complex of health-improving activities was developed.
