摘要
The problem of improving the service properties of synthetic diamonds (SD) by removing the main defects by means of laser radiation is considered. The literature contains a number of studies concerned with examination of the nature of the effect of IR radiation on SDs, showing that the specimens examined are characterized by high transmission ( greater than 50%). The problem of distribution of the residual energy between absorption and scattering is treated here. The results confirm the strong effect of the defects on the interaction of synthetic diamonds with infrared radiation.
