On the Application of the 'Fuzzy Set Theory' to Decision Making and Process Control in Construction Engineering.

The 'fuzzy set theory' in the German-language literature also defined as 'theory of poorly defined quantities' was initiated in 1965 in Berkeley by Prof. L. A. Zadeh. He tried to describe the characteristics of the analysis not yet defined by formulae or rules, by means of poorly defined quantities. In the literature relevant to the subject, the theory of the poorly defined quantities is described as a conception which appears to become a promising aid to define and solve systems and problems of decision making.
