We investigated a crystal of the complex thiosulphate (NH4)9[Cu(S2O3)4]Br2. It was synthesized by Bohaty and coworkers in Koeln (Germany). The ferroelectric phase transition of this crystal at 165 K was discovered in this research group, too. We measured the ultrasound velocity of the crystal in dependence on the temperature with an automatic measurement equipment including a fast sampling oscilloscope HP54750. Two elastic stiffnesses were found to exhibit a remarkable anomalous temperature behaviour.
