摘要：
The performance of four commercially available filters was evaluated. These filters are being used in households for domestic water treatment. Studies revealed that the general performance of these filters was unsatisfactory. The bacteriological quality of water treated by these filters was poor. The turbidity removal was satisfactory for small filters.
