摘要
The paper describes laboratory tests carried out in order to select a rapid and accurate method for the determination of boron in carbon and stainless steels. Three photometric methods were tried, two using curcumin as reagent - one with distillation and the other directly - , and the third using dianthrimide, which does not require any special apparatus. The dianthrimide method gave the best results for both soluble and insoluble boron.
