摘要：
A recently introduced communications IC suitable for use as a simple asynchronous link is described. This device will support asynchronous transfers only and provides two independent full duplex channels for use as asynchronous receiver/transmitters. It offers transmission and reception of five to eight bits per character, plus optional even or odd parity. The transmitter can supply one, one-and-a-half, or two stop bits per character and can provide a break output at any time.
