This paper presents the results of a study of diffusion chromo-aluminized layers obtained by a powder technique with mixtures of various compositions in several variants of a two-stage annealing process carried out in the temperature range from 900 to 1200 degree C. A two-stage annealing is conducive to an increase in the layer thickness. It was found that the adopted heat treatment variant has a significant effect on the composition and the structure of multiphase diffusion layers.
