The author discusses various methods related to solution of plastics film trim and scrap such as recycling, densifying, repelletizing, scrap fluff rolling, or even throwing it away. A number of possible cost-saving solutions are investigated. Equipment used for scrap reprocessing is also discussed with particular attention to economic considerations.
