摘要
Light diffraction by periodic interfaces is analyzed in the spectral representation as an infinite-dimensional system of linear equations for the scattering amplitudes. Eigensolutions and forced solutions of the diffraction problem are studied. For a certain class of functions which describe the profile of a periodic boundary the infinite-dimensional systems of equations can be solved by a reduction method with a prespecified accuracy.
