摘要
An investigation was made of the mechanism of the pressure exerted on plane and hemispherical targets by CO//2 laser pulses in air. The optimal laser pulse duration corresponding to the highest values of the specific pressure impulse was determined. The experimental results were interpreted on the basis of a theory of point explosions allowing for the atmospheric counterpressure.
