This article discusses which consequences arise from the new Environment Protection Regulations for the ceramic industry regarding air purity on premises where grinding of raw materials for fine ceramics takes place and where the firing of fine-ceramics or heavy-clay products is conducted. For all these processes a license from the Federal Emission-Protection Law Authorities is required. Such a license can only be granted if the conditions specified in this study are fulfilled.
