This article discusses methods for automatically fine-tuning the gain of the channels of a photodetector device based on a linear array of radiation-detector elements in a thermal-vision system with parallel scanning. The effect of white noise on the results of sensitivity equalization is studied. © 1997 The Optical Society of America.
