Problems of profiling a combustion chamber with columetric mixture formation are considered. A method of anlaysis of its shape is proposed. This method takes into account the required dependence of the air/fuel ratio along the combustion chamber radius. Analytical relations describing this ratio are presented. The method in question has been used to improve the new design of a diesel engine with supercharging.
