摘要
Based on the results of an investigation into the kinematic viscosity nu of Fe-C-O alloys, an equation nu equals f( left bracket C right bracket ), left bracket O right bracket ) is proposed. The effect of oxygen on nu depends on the carbon content of the alloy. With left bracket C right bracket less than 0. 2% an increase in oxygen concentration leads to a decrease in the viscosity of the alloys; with left bracket C right bracket approximately equals 0. 2% oxygen has almost no effect on the viscosity, while with left bracket C right bracket greater than 0. 2% an increase in oxygen concentration produces a higher viscosity. The functions nu equals f( left bracket C right bracket ) have either a minimum or a maximum. The nature of the curve and its position depend on the oxygen content of the alloy.
