ELECTRONIC SYSTEM IN CONVEYOR BELT WEIGHING.

The necessity of the electronic conveyor belt weighing is first justified. Basic conditions for dynamic load measurement are derived. It is shown that an electronic conveyor belt weigher consists of four essential parts. The principle of operation, selection of components, merits and demerits of various components of all these parts are reviewed. Design criteria of important electronic systems are described. The static and dynamic test results of the 30 TPH system developed at CMERI, Durgapur, are incorporated in graphical as well as tabular form. In the conclusion, possible sources of errors from electronic system and the requirement of minimizing them are discussed.
